Fakra Arak is a traditional Lebanese anise-flavored spirit distilled by the Fakra distillery, established in the early 18th century in Kfardebian in Mount Lebanon. It is made from native Obeidi and Merwah grapes redistilled with aniseed, and many expressions are aged in clay jars, yielding a smooth, robust anise character typically bottled around 50% ABV (100 proof).
