ShelfRead verdict
Right down the middle. Reviews and price both sit mid-pack. Breaking Bourbon gives it 3.5/5, vs. 3/5 for the typical bourbon (357 rated). The Bourbon Culture gives it 7/10, vs. 7.8/10 for the typical bourbon (473 rated). Thin data, two sources.

Barrell Foundation Bourbon is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys sourced, blended, and bottled by Barrell Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky. It is composed of 5-, 6-, 8-, and 9-year-old straight bourbons distilled and aged in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Maryland, with a mash bill of 73% corn, 23% rye, and 4% malted barley. Unlike most Barrell releases, Foundation is bottled at a more approachable, non-cask-strength proof, delivering notes of honey, toffee, cinnamon, and vanilla pudding.
