Flor de Caña Extra Seco (Extra Dry) is a 4-year aged Nicaraguan white rum produced by Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua in Chichigalpa, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It is barrel-aged in ex-bourbon casks before carbon filtration strips the color while preserving flavor, yielding a crisp, dry rum with notes of vanilla, soft citrus, and light oak. It won a Gold Medal at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and is popular as a mixing rum in tropical cocktails.
