Budget basic
Does the job and doesn't pretend otherwise. Bottom-third reviews at a bottom-third price. Tequila Matchmaker drinkers give it 45 across 692 ratings, vs. 82 for the typical tequila (1,899 rated).
Jose Cuervo Especial Silver is an unaged mixto tequila made with blue agave from the Cuervo family estate in Jalisco, Mexico, double-distilled in a continuous column still for a smooth, crisp, clean profile. It has a fresh aroma with subtle blue agave notes, a clean palate, and a warm, smooth finish, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It is one of the world's best-selling tequilas and is commonly used in margaritas and mixed drinks.
